Blocking unsolicited gchat invites

Blocking random people from contacting me on Google Talk?

I've been getting random gchat invitations from what I consider spam email addresses (xxxy129@gmail.com, ffoo910@gmail.com, etc). I don't know how they got my email address, and I'd like them to stop. Most of the info I found on the Internet only helps with blocking people who I've actually been in contact with, not random unsolicited people.

Basically, is it possible to restrict gchat to only the people who I've actually been in contact with? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Gmail -> Settings -> Chat tab -> Only allow people that I've explicitly approved to chat with me and see when I'm online.

Shoot. Rereading your question, I don't think this will actually do what you want (stop people from asking to chat). Sorry.
