Please recommend scanning software for my Fujitsu fi-6130

I have a Fujitsu fi-6130 ADF scanner that I get to keep at home as long as I occasionally use it for work stuff too. I need software recommendations.

I saw this question, but it's not quite the same as mine (as I already have the scanner and need to work with it).

What I'm looking for in scanning software:

-Allows for duplex scanning, but skips blank pages
-Has automatic image rotation
-Allows me to continuously load the scanner so if I want the final product to be a 3000 page pdf, it just keeps scanning until I tell it I'm done (no need to combine a bunch of pdfs to make a huge one)
-Allows for scanning to jpg and gives each page a unique name, preferably based on the date & time it was scanned (so I don't end up having to rename each "photo 1")
-Creates searchable pdfs, but has the option to skip that for faster processing
-Compatible with Windows XP and 7

Any software recommendations? Price is an object, but since I'm using it for work occasionally, it's not as much an object as it would be if I was paying for this myself.

Best answer: When I went looking for general purpose OCR/scanning software, I ended up with Abbyy FineReader.
  • It does duplex scanning from my Snapscan S1300.
  • It detects page orientation and skew and has simple manual fixing of this after the fact.
  • You can add more pages to a document.
  • You can scan to jpg
  • It has the best OCR abilities I have used.
  • It can create searchable PDFs.
  • It runs on Windows 7. No clue about XP.
