Who said this?

I'm trying to track down a quote that goes something like "It takes an excellent taste in highbrow to have an excellent taste in lowbrow." Who said this and what is the correct quote? I think it was maybe said by Groucho Marx or Mel Brooks.
Are you thinking of Pauline Kael maybe? "Movies are so rarely great art that if we cannot appreciate great trash we have very little reason to be interested in them."
Stephen King said something similar about horror movies, but I can't hit on the right keywords to turn it up.

"To understand bad taste one must have very good taste. Good bad taste can be creatively nauseating but must, at the same time, appeal to the especially twisted sense of humor, which is anything but universal."
