Best ribs article, pre-2001

Old article long shot: Looking for a magazine article published before 2001 that lists Dreamland BBQ of Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Lem's BBQ in Chicago, Illinois among the best bbq/rib restaurants in America. Any ideas?
I visited Dreamland BBQ in Tuscaloosa, Alabama in late 2000. Framed on the wall was an article about rib and/or bbq joints in America--something along the lines of a "top 10", "best of", or "must try"--that listed Dreamland and Lem's in Chicago.
I'd like a copy of that article, but can't find it. If I had just the citation, I could get a copy.
I'm pretty sure it was a magazine, not a newspaper. I'm thinking Cigar Aficionado or Esquire, but I can't swear to that.
At the time, I found it online, but I've lost track of it. When I search online, I can only find stuff like Chowhound reviews and foodblogs.
I've searched through a couple of full-text databases: Academic Search Complete, Proquest Research Library, and Lexis-Nexis. No dice.
It is not the "Rib It!" article from the 25 May 1995 Atlanta Constitution.
Thanks for any help you can provide!
