What was this weird-ass cowboy show?

What was this trippy, cowboy-themed weekend morning TV show I used to watch in Brooklyn in the early 1990s?
The show had a really bizarre aesthetic from what I can remember: lots of neon colors, greenscreening, overwrought children's television acting, old footage and so on. Once in a while, everyone would scream "GILA MONSTER" (in that stop-everything PeeWee's Playhouse secret word way) and they would show short clips from what I can only assume was The Giant Gila Monster and the cast reacting to it.
I'm pretty sure this was a local show so it probably originated in either NY or NJ. We didn't have cable at the time, so it must have aired on CBS, NBC, Fox, ABC, WWOR or WPIX. I am pretty sure it was either CBS or NBC. I don't think it aired past 1991.

Apparently, they sang the theme song to Woody's Roundup for Toy Story 2.

Response by poster: ...and apparently the Gila Monster segments were claymation with a live iguana.

Hooolyyy crap. Riders in the Sky! These guys were staples of our local bluegrass festival growing up! Had no idea they had a TV incarnation. Cheesy and hell, but pretty good yodelers and musicians all. Thanks for asking this question.

Another thanks for this--I saw them at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass a few years ago, and they were AWESOME. Had no idea they had a TV show!
