Help me identify the song used as Lex Luger's theme in WCW - also, is there a version with lyrics?
A friend says she remembers there were lyrics to this song. I searched YouTube, with no title beyond "4th WCW theme", nothing turned up.

Oh....I didn't listen to either one, but thought it kind of an odd choice ;P

Response by poster: Well, being in Germany, I can't even play the Hole video, so my options to find the actual song aren't THAT good, compared to people who can freely click all the videos they want. *echem*
Anyway, friend says it's not Hole; she *thinks* it was a male voice.

Sadly it's not that unlikely. Jimmy Hart was WCW's self-appointed music man for a while and was responsible for several blatant muzak-style ripoffs of popular rock tracks to be used for entrance music. Behold, Raven's highly original theme.
That said, I can't name the original for the Luger theme, but it may well be a grunge hit of some sort.

Response by poster: I looked through TVTropes "Jimmy Hart version", which lists quite a few. I know WWF recorded some of theirs with lyrics, but this one seems too early and it was WCW.

Response by poster: Sorry for spamming, but I should add my friend only knows this song as "the theme Lex Luger used", so it is unlikely she heard the original of whatever was ripped off (if that's the case.)

Yeah, the WCW and WWE produce almost all of their theme-music in house with session musicians. (Amusingly enough, Simon Cowell was a wrestling music producer in the early '90s.)
There are some exceptions, but generally, it's cheaper for them to roll their own, and then they can sell the themes on album compilations (search Amazon or your favorite music e-tailer, there are a zillion of them out there.)
If you want the whole song, here it is on YouTube.

Response by poster: Hm, still no lyrics. But seeing I lost count at "Lex Luger (9th WCW theme)" + several unnumbered WWF/E themes, I wouldn't say it's impossible she remembers a different (later) theme that had lyrics.
