Where can I find earphones not made in China? Recommendations please.

I just need a new pair for portable use. Price range under 100$ or so.

Best answer: I am pretty sure that Grado SR60's are assembled in the USA, but don't know about their internal components.

Westone UM1's are made in the U.S. and if you look around you can find them for a little over $100.

Sennheiser manufactures some of their headphones in Ireland (or they did as of 2010) but it can be a little difficult to get more detail about which models.

Does Taiwan count as China? My personal favorites are the Nuforce 700-series, and their staff has explained why.

Er...that should be "has explained why they do everything in Taiwan"

Response by poster: That's a nice response, I think, zombieflanders, but I'm a little nervous about it all the same.

I received an email back from Grado confirming that their manufacturing is all doing in NA, so I think I'll go with that.

Thanks though.
