I'm having problem with Adobe InDesign CS2! Any experts out there?
Is there a way to change the color picker setup in Adobe InDesign CS? I'm used to Illustrator and Photoshop's picker where you can chose various values and tones (of increased black or white) of the color and use the side slider to choose the range. Hope this question makes sense because I'm damn frustrated!

The color picker you want is there, it's just not in the "Color" or "Swatches" palette where youe xpect to find it.
Make sure the "Tools" palette is showing (the one with the arrow and text and object tools, usually on the left side of the screen), then double-click either the foreground or background color. There you go - Adobe's color picker.

Response by poster: I'm trying to switch from the one on the left to the one on the right. Doubleclicking the foreground or background colors did not work for me.

I have to say that I'm still on CS1. But knowing the way that the Photoshop color picker works, I strongly suspect you will get the setup you want if you click the radio button next to the H, like it is on the Photoshop screenshot, instead of the radio button next to the R which is selected in your InDesign screenshot.
It doesn't help that Adobe has switched around where HSB and RGB are in these Color Pickers for seemingly no reason.

Response by poster: In my version of CS2 there is no radio button marked H, I may be screwed here eh?

Oh, is that Lab and not HSB? Sorry, it's hard to see in that screenshot.
The point is that the slider corresponds to whichever radio button you have selected and you want it selected on hue, whereas you have it on red. This doesn't mean that's impossible to have the slider select hue, it just means I don't know how to do it. Maybe someone else will know here or on InDesignTalk.
