Does anyone know how to make the photographs appear in The Guardian's RSS feeds in Google Reader?
This has been a mild irritation for a while. For some reason, even though there are two sizes of graphic in the actual feed -- a preview and full image -- they're replaced when the feed appears in Reader with a blank space.
Reader also dumps graphics from other feeds -- it seems to be to do with how the feed is configured. I've emailed user help at The Guardian and Google about this but never had a response.
I know an alternative would be to move to a different reader but I've been using Google Reader for ages and even with the refit it suits most purposes.

Response by poster: Sleepcrime: I've tried that and can't seem to work it out, thanks. Anyone else?

It's not quite what you're after, but Phil Gyford, of Pepys' diary fame, has a very user-friendly Guardian/Observer site that takes its material from the Guardian Open Platform. (If the redistribution rights to a story are unavailable, he always has a link to the original.)
