What are your favorite puzzle and riddle sites? Preferably challenging. For example, I know of greylabyrinth.com ,rec-puzzles.org, cut-the-knot.org, cs.cmu.edu/puzzle, ocf.berkeley.edu/~wwu/riddles. Also do you know of any good free cryptic crossword sites?

If you like these, they are easy versions of the mostly-visual puzzles in The Stone. I found them wonderfully challenging (er, I always needed help. I'm not a puzzlemeister).

You may want to check out the MIT Mystery Hunt archives, which have puzzles from at least the last few years posted.

Off-topic, but related ... I just finished reading this Wired article moments ago ...

The Sydney Morning Herald website publishes a cryptic crossword every day, if that helps.
