What does the one year old set like to do in whistler?

We are heading out to Whistler this winter and will have a one year old with us. Does anyone have any experience with childcare options at the resort? We will be staying in the village. I can ask the hotel, but would love to get some personal recommendations.

With a child that little, you'd probably be better off trading mountain time with babytime.
Alternatively, if you can find a friend family that wants to go too, you can all rotate. Or bring a grandparent.

The on-site childcare options at most resorts I've been to is pretty meh. But I haven't been to Whistler with kid in tow, so I can't speak to that resort.

1 is hard - still a lot of naps, still a lot of work to feed... Probably not keen on strangers.

Is your kid literally 12 months? At 18 months they can go into the Whistler/Blackcomb childcare program, which is convenient because it's right at the base of the mountain, and they give you pagers so you're reachable all day.

The sports center has a great pool and ice skating rink.

There are tons of babysitters/childcare providers who work by the day. There are a few different agencies, but if you ask the concierge, they'll point you to a few of the good ones. Where are you staying? Some of the bigger hotels have their own childcare programs too.
