Where/how to obtain a manual for a 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer?

No Chilton or Haynes manual exists for my 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer ES, and I've been unable to find any equivalent or substitute. How and where can I acquire such an item? (Note: Not looking for the nearly useless Owner's Manual. I want as much technical detail as I can get.)

Best answer: Check an enthusiast's online forum. I got the 7000 page dealer service manual for my Durango that way.

Best answer: You probably want a Factory Service Manual, or FSM. You can buy one directly from Mitsubishi, or Google and find alternative locations -- I found a copy of a FSM for my Cherokee on eBay once, and there are various other options out there, as well.

Response by poster: You know, I did pretty extensive searching, both general and site-specific, but didn't find it via google till after I put 'FMS' in the search string.

I got an Acura shop service manual for my RL from eBay. Honda does not make these available outside of the Honda dealership network and so, it was a definite score and, in the four years I owned the car, it was used only once but the savings from that single use were equal to many multiples of the price I paid.
