What are these diamond logos I see on cardboard boxes all over the city?

Here's an example. I see them everywhere and I'm curious. Do they indicate something about what the box had in it? Are they a company logo? Any other ideas? Thanks!

H. L. Conch, USA, Inc. is apparently an importer. I would assume that because the HL is inside the diamond, it is intended to be part of their logo.

Best answer: Front Marks/Lead Marks (side marks, ship marks, etc).

It's been a few years, but I remember that in most cases box design was specified by our largest (big box) customers. A lot of times we were instructed to put the customer's PO number (or a code that they had tied to same in their system) in the diamond or triangle rather than anything that identified us specifically.
