That Eternal Life Movie Not With Robin Williams

Help me remember a movie about living forever.
OK hivemind, in my experience you're uncannily good at recalling obscure media. Help me with this movie.
In 2006 a theatre professor I had made a fleeting remark about a movie that sounded interesting, but I didn't bother to write down the title. It's about a married couple that lives forever. I don't think there's a reason for that other than a Gunter Grass-ian 'shut up, they just do, OK?' Over time the minor wounds they inflict from daily life become disfiguring. I recognised the actors my professor cited in the movie. It's not Bicentennial Man. Beyond that, that's all I know.
Good luck!

Best answer: Is it possible you're thinking of Death Becomes Her?

Best answer: It sounds vaguely like skynxnex has it. But if not, perhaps Wikipedia's page on immortality in fiction or the TV Tropes page on immortality would be helpful.

A bit of a stretch, but maybe it was The Fountain? It came out in 2006.

It's just one person instead of a couple, but maybe The Man from Earth?

Oh, I just realized that it came out in 2007. So scratch that.

I second littlesq: it could be Darren Aronofsky's The Fountain (although I'm virtually alone in this, it's one of my favorite movies...) The year is right, and it describes very accurately one way of looking at the film's plot. The puzzling part is the disfiguring - The Fountain doesn't fit that aspect (quite the opposite; Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz remain healthy and good looking, despite the travails of the plot).

Response by poster: Perusing the TV Tropes page (oh god, it's already sucking me in), Death Becomes Her is the most likely candidate because Goldie Hawn/Meryl Streep/Bruce Willis are such familiar names. I totally expected a more sentimental film, actually, and no love triangle. Still interested, and I picked up The Fountain to boot.
Thanks again all!
