What is this pendulum clockwork beauty?

What is this? I caught a look of this fantastic swinging pendulum-like art piece in the background of one of my favorite shows. What is it, and where could I find something like it?

I was watching an episode of Oddities, and immediately fell in love with what I assume is a piece of art. Is there a name for this sort of thing, and is it something I could find for myself?

Here is a screenshot

A link to a clip of the video, its behind the person as he's talking.

Anybody recognize this or something similar?

Best answer: I've seen them in person many times and they're very cool: Wood That Works by David C. Roy

Best answer: Looks like a piece of kinetic sculpture to me. There's lots around.

You could ask the production company.

Looks to me like a build-it-yourself plywood clock. (No relation to that site, and I've never built one of these myself, but my dad was interested in them.)

Response by poster: I knew I was missing the right phrase for it! Those are beautiful. Maybe if I start saving now I can get one in a decade or so :)
