Song ID: female vocalist, not particularly engineered, lyrics include "spice markets of Marrakesh" and "the coasts of tripoli".
Looking for a song I heard on the radio a long time ago.
It was a female vocalist, I seem to remember a more folky feel rather than something like Lady Gaga or something.
Something about closing her eyes and imagining she was in all these places.
Any help?

Oops.. I mean "Orinoco Flow." Sail Away is in the chorus.

Loreena McKennitt? Her "Mask and mirror" CD has a Marrakesh song and is quite strong and folksy.

Any chance it's an older song? "You Belong to Me" has lyrics similar to that, and it's been recorded a million times. Here's the folkiest version I could find. Not quite a match to what you're describing.

Had the same thought as gladly - Could it have be Kate Rusby? She did a great folksy version a few years back. If not, when you say a long time ago, how far back are we talking about?

Response by poster: We're talking 2-3 years ago. I think it was on NPR or some other alternative station, not a Pop station or anything.

Response by poster: And it's not either of those, either. :/ (They are nice though!)
