What are the best Twitterfeeds for air disruptions out of Dublin, Ireland, 26th May?

Having spent 6 days in December trying to get to Orlando, we now need advice on the best Twitter feeds for the most up-to-date information on the Iceland ashcloud.

We booked our daughter a 21s Birthday present of a week in Las Vegas leaving Dublin on the 26th May. Our experience in December was that the RyanAir twitter feed was much better, faster & more accurate than the Dublin airport official twitter feed :- so Mefites, any recommendations for the best feeds for American Airlines, Meteorological information, etc., to try to see what the best options are?

(Oh and BTW, if you want to avoid air disasters, check where we're going next!)

This doesn't answer your question, but the eruption may not have much of an impact in Ireland at all.

from this AP article:
"History shows that previous eruptions in Grimsvotn have not had much influence on flight traffic... The ash in Grimsvotn is more coarse and not as likely to cause danger as it falls to the ground faster and doesn't stay as long in the air as in the Eyjafjallajokull eruption."

Best answer: Freezboy, the problem with the media and googling things a lot (as I'm finding) is that right now things are really contradictory in the news, and you could end up driving yourself nuts. (However, I've had three independent sources -- a woman IN Iceland who's with Iceland Air, my travel-agent brother, and another news report I saw just now -- confirm that the eruption already seems to be starting to slow, so I'm going to take a very deep breath and believe that.)

In my own AskMe, someone posted a link to maps with the latest geological/meteorlogical information.

I've also seen lots of other airlines (including my own) are back to normal today. Huzzah! hope she has a great time!

(If you speak to her when she lands, tell her to check out the "New York New York" casino - this New Yorker actually had an Uncanny Valley reaction to some of the detail.)
