What kind of interactions can be created in a Facebook newsfeed?

I have a client who's making a request for a little flash app that can be posted in a Facebook status update, and that the user can interact with (to fill out a form) in their newsfeed. I didn't think this was possible, until I saw this. Does anyone know how they did that?

(FYI the interaction in that link doesn't work in Safari.)

Any other insight about what kind of functionality can and cannot be implemented within a facebook newsfeed would be super helpful.

I'm in a real quandary about this - thank you in advance for helping me do my job :(

Looks like facebook allows Flash on profile pages and canvas pages:
