How do I allow another person to post to my tumblr account?

I created a tumblr account. It's averagely successful (300 followers) and I'd like to let a friend post content to it too.

The problem is, it's my primary account, and I think you can only share secondary accounts.

Is there any way to let her post to my account without giving her my password?

I'm hoping I can do something like create a new account and turn my existing one into a daughter of the new one...

I'm a novice myself but both my Tumblr accounts allow for others to submit posts if I go to "customize" and tick the box under "community". You'll still have to approve the posts but it's close to what you're asking for.

Try contacting tumblr support (if you can find out how, their help pages aren't very useful) and asking them if they'll move he account for you. I don't know how helpful they'll be if you can even get ahold of them. This is the biggest problem with tumblr IMO -- lack of ability to change primary blog. I recently had to start a new account because of this.
