Work in Patmos for a month?

Hi I'm considering remote working from Patmos or another Greek Island for a month or so either in spring or late summer. I hear from Negroponte's initiative the island has free wifi -- what's coverage like? Does anyone else know of a sweet spot of affordable + great internet connectivity in Greece? Free isn't necessary; reasonable is.
If so, recommendations for sites offering short term apartment rentals in your recommended area would be most awesome! Let's say, 4-6 weeks.
I'm not finding any recent news on the Patmos free wifi network - it's probably still up and running, but I can't say for sure.
Late summer (August) is the peak of the tourist season: not a good time to come here to work. Other than that I don't think you will have any trouble finding a place to stay that offers appropriate connectivity in Patmos or any of the major islands. YMMV in the smaller places, although this year the footbal cup matches have been only available over IPTV, so your chances of finding a wifi hotspot are good even in the remotest of places.

I haven't been to Patmos since 1990 (good God, it doesn't seem that long) and even then it was reasonably "on the map", tourism-wise, so I would expect it to be pretty well-connected now. I would suggest you call the island tourist agency and maybe a few individual accommodations to simply ask what the deal is with WiFi.
Also, this.
