Who is hiring now!?

What are some (free) sources that consistently update which companies are currently hiring?
I have a Bachelors and a Masters from good schools in two different, but complementing disciplines. I've worked in four countries, speak French (almost) fluently, and am willing to work almost anywhere in the world. Yet after an 8 month search, I am still unemployed. I've tried approaching this problem in a variety of ways. My latest is simply to apply to companies that are announcing they are hiring a large number of people in the near future.
Do you have any (free) sources that consistently update with company announcements who are hiring en masse? Or do you have any Google alert search terms that you know to be effective?

By the time a company announces they are hiring via a job ad, it's usually too late. A good number of those ads are just for show. Corporate HR needs to look busy, , or corporate policy requires all jobs to be posted publicly, even though it was filled internally, or via referral, weeks ago. I've read that well over 1/2 the job posts you see publicly are not legit. So if your job search strategy is to apply online, even if you are qualified for the job, odds are it was already filled. Or if not, they have 300+ applications and it is easy to get overlooked.
If you've worked in 4 countries, you must know a lot of people. They are your source for a new job.
FWIW, I've been unemployed for 7 weeks, 3 of which was the Christmas season when nothing was happening. I've had conversations with 17 companies about job opportunities. 9 of those came about via networking, from me making sure everybody I've ever met on this planet knows I'm unemployed and looking. From my notes, it looks like the other 8 interviews came from an even split of 4 via LInkedIn Jobs, and 4 via headhunters. Oh, and 1 job offer so far.
I've spent a lot of time on Indeed.com, theladders.com, dice.com, etc. A ridiculous amount of time really. It's interesting that they haven't produced a single interview. And I'm not a kid looking for my first job. I have good experience and all of that.

Response by poster: I have had about 15 interviews, but only one offer (that I couldn't take because the visa fell through). I'm not looking for job boards, trust me, I've been through many of them in great detail. What I am looking for is a news source that continually posts when companies announce they will be hiring a lot of people soon.

Maybe you need to find out how to customize a news feed for keywords, and use the word "hiring". I'm not an expert, but here's a page from a site called businesswire.com that tells how to customize their news feeds - that seems like it would be specific to business news. You can easily find instructions for how to customize google news, which seems like it would be more general.
