How do I make decorative sticky-notes stick?

I was deciding on inexpensive ways to cheer up the blank white walls of my room, and then this notable Internet meme inspired me to use coloured Post-Its and inks displaying quotes. Problem is, this'll be a long-term (weeks to months) thing, and I'm not convinced that the weak adhesive on the notes will stand up to a brisk wind, let alone weeks of air movement. So I need an adhesive that will do the job!

The priorities are:

Leaving the wall unmarked.

Providing a firm hold.

Being easily removable when they're no longer needed.

I was thinking maybe a glue-stick or weak PVA glue, but maybe someone might have better ideas. All suggestions appreciated.

3M makes a Post-It Glue Stick that has a similar glue to the back of Post-Its, and you can smear all over to make them stickier without damaging the walls. It's hard to find in office supply stores though.

I don't know, I have post-it notes all over my wall and they haven't fallen down yet. Some of them have been up for over a year. I leave my windows open and use a fan in the summer and that doesn't seem to cause any problems.

These are just regular, garden-variety post-it notes. Brand name, but nothing special about them.

I'm not sure what kind of long term effect it has on colored paper, but Blu-Tack or something like it might be an option. It'll probably keep a firm hold and it's removable and non-damaging to most walls, but it might start to show through the paper after awhile, but I'm not sure if that figure is in days, months, or years.

Regular post it notes should stay on the wall. Just make sure to get the brand name post its and not the dollar store variety.

Best answer: 3M makes Post-it Super Sticky Notes.

You can also look at something called foil glue. It's used to coat a material like metallic foil, which is then cut into shapes with a knife, and the unwanted parts are peeled cleanly off to leave the applique.

Best answer: I have the same frustration with the cute off-brand sticky notes.
They are not sticky.
Use a post-it glue stick, as miyabo recommeds.
