We need a roe fix!

Where can I find reasonably priced kazunoko (herring roe) in the NYC/North Jersey area?

My husband and I are spending another New Year's away from Japan, and we are seriously missing us some kazunoko, our favorite oshougatsu dish. We live near a Mitsuwa Japanese supermarket, but find that the prices are a bit too exorbitant even for a just once a year treat. Any leads?

Russian markets sometimes have herring roe. On the Jersey side, check in Fair Lawn, Broadway Palace I think it is called on Route 4. It is right next to Jersey Farmer's Market.
