Does anyone know the name of this hotel or food festival in Paris?
I'm looking for a specific hotel in Paris, but I only remember the following:
Dad called me up all of a sudden, since he and Mom will be staying in Paris for a couple days on their way to Morocco and he remembered the jazz singer from that hotel. Trying to CSI it from our photos from that day over the phone proved fruitless.
I'm looking for a specific hotel in Paris, but I only remember the following:
- It is a small, boutique hotel with an unassuming entrance on the corner of the block.
- It had a live jazz singer in a small, charming-but-not-overly-fancy room,
- It was not directly on one of the big boulevards, it was nestled among some smaller streets.
- It was near to an outdoor food festival, at which vendors were selling paella from large cauldrons on the street. One of the vendors had a sign saying "produits corses de bastia", so I figure this was a Corsican food festival.
- This was around November or December 2005 (December 8 is a Corsican holiday)

Sounds like it might have been near Rue Mouffetard, which is known for its food market and which also has a well known Corsican restaurant.

Both of the above suggestions are good. You might also look around rue Daguerre, which also has the open-air food markets and, specifically, paella sold outdoors and a corsican shop. If you get the pictures out I'd be happy to take a look at the pictures, google maps, and potentially the neighborhood. Neither of these two locations is far from me.

Response by poster: Unfortunately, I think the pictures are all film prints at my parent's house. I'll try to see if I can find any digitals.
