Bowled over

My mom is in love with the bowls in this House Beautiful photo spread. Help me find them for her!

The pictures can be found on slide 4 here.

They are mismatchy, but all look a standard size so I don't think they are a random assortment. Any ideas?? Thanks.

I think they are available individually because I have seen the upper-right (dragonfly) one in a few stores in my area (western Massachusetts). They are rice bowls, I believe, and if you do a search online for blue rice bowls, you'll find quite a few in very different styles. The ones below aren't exactly right, but maybe they'll help get you closer...

Ooh, here we go: Pearl River. Click on Ceramics, then Bowls, and start paging through them. There are a bunch!

Since they are in House Beautiful's style director's Newell Turner's kitchen in his Catskills farmhouse, I suggest contacting him. Here is his Twitter page.

They look like rice bowls to me. Pier 1 and Cost Plus World Market both usually carry them, but the best place to get them is in an Asian supermarket. They're usually pretty inexpensive there, and most of the time, they have a good assortment.

I ordered some of those bowls from Mrs. Lin's Kitchen. I like the sets in which every bowl is a different pattern, but all are the same blue-and-white.

In NYC, you can buy them in the basement of Kam Man. Or try Amazon.
