What Leftover Salmon song is this?

Some time in the late 90's I went with a bunch of friends to see Leftover Salmon play a show at the Vic theater in Chicago, IL. They opened for Blues Traveler that night. During the show, Leftover Salmon played a song that I loved, but I don't remember much about it other than the lead singer yelling "Stop!" and the music halting briefly a few times.

I figured the best way to find out what this song was would be to attempt to get a setlist for the show. But I'm hitting lots of roadblocks. I've checked a leftover salmon setlist website (the main leftover salmon site doesn't have old setlists posted), the blues traveler site, which has a totally broken setlist search "tool", and setlist.com which doesn't have intersecting tour dates for these two bands.

Additionally, the Vic's website has no information on past shows as well.

I'm assuming that I'd have to listen to lots and lots of songs to find this gem. Does anybody know a song like this? I guess it's possible that it was a cover too, which makes this all the more daunting.

Maybe somebody knows a better place to look at old setlists?

The song isn't familiar, but you might find the show on the Live Music Archive. Is this (11/13/99) the show the show you attended?

I dont know what the song is, but it looks like Leftover Salmon opened for Blues Traveler in 1998 on 12/30 and 12/31, at the Aragon Ballroom not the Vic.

Here is the a list of all the Leftover Salmon shows that were taped and are in circulation, and here is a list of Blues Traveler shows that you can search to track down the show.

Once you figure out the show you could go to Live Music Archive and track down the song from there. Good luck!

Best answer: After a little more digging it sounds like the song was "Rankin' Full Stop". 4/22/98 has a good version on archive.org.
