SciFi PlotFilter: Ship full of kids acts as interplanetary exterminators
I recall reading this book in college or shortly thereafter. It entails a ship crewed by a substantial number of autonomous and highly-trained but immature children. They piloted their ship from planet to planet, and were equipped to test each planet for the presence of some supremely evil something or other (nanotech?) and, if they found it, roast the entire surface of the planet to lava.
I don't remember if I finished the book, but that was at least the start of it. Anyone know what this is?
