MOSS 2007 Filter - I am trying to create a custom routing workflow for my office. We want to create a single review workflow for 4 different types of reviews (QA, Peer, Supervisory, Review For Closing). Also, we want to have the user submit a specifc user to assign it to. How can we do this? The main issue is we want to have a user selection in the initiation of the workflow.

The default review workflow is great, but we want a special workflow that would include some steps for each type of review. In the default workflows, you can route it to a specific user for review. I would like to do the same, but include the type of review in this initiation. Is it possible to use a user selection field in initiation?

I don't know, but I've had luck with this kind of question at Stack Overflow.

If you use SharePoint Designer to configure a workflow for your needs, you can have it prompt the user for data upon workflow initiation.

I suggest rather than trying to roll all four reviews into a single workflow, you treat them as separate processes. Significantly easier to handle, debug and maintain. When a user chooses "Workflow" from the Edit drop down on an item, they'll be directed to the page that lists the available types, and they can choose "Review" or whatever. It's not that much harder for users, and I assure you it will be easier for you.
