Have a Libra (not Virgo) baby?

My 2nd baby is due today. Me, Hubby and first baby are all Libras. It'd be cool if baby #2 were 'in the same club'. How long do I have to hold on in order to make this happen? ie: What's the first possible minute this baby could be born a Libra instead of a Virgo? Is midnight on Friday the 24th accurate?

In the tropical zodiac, the Sun enters Libra at 3:09 am UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) on September 23, 2010. You'll need to convert UTC to your own location to adjust the time (don't overlook daylight saving time, if your part of the world currently observes it).

Bad news: Apparently the sign is no longer aligned with the constellation in Western astrology. Adjusting for precision, Oct 30 would be the earliest to have a Libra.*

On the other hand, using newspaper-based fixed-date methods, your baby is already a cusp!

Caveat: I am not an astrology. I am not your astrologer.

That said, maybe it turns out that your and your husband are really Virgos, and the baby can be a Virgo, too! But depending on when your birthdays are, one or both of you might really be a Libra.

Anyhoop, I think dywypi nails the answer for the tropical zodiac.

Until today I had no idea there was a sidereal astrology.

I will continue to self-identify as a (tropical zodiac) Leo.

Your rising signs have far more to do with your personalities and familial traits than do sun signs. Case in point--my husband, son and daughter all have Sag. rising. I have Cap. It's like being trapped in a room full of bouncing balls.

That's adjusting for precession (def. 3). Precision is something else entirely.

Of course you're right. That post was full of typos (some even got fixed for me -- thanks!). You'd think I was drunk.

Anyways, don't blame me. I'm a Leo.

Or a Cancer.
