Sports team owners

Could someone point me to a list of current professional sports team owners, especially owners of NFL and NBA teams? Googling keeps bringing up fantasy football sites.

I want to learn more about some of the personalities behind the big leagues, so any sites with links to biographical information would be most helpful.

Here is a list of NFL team owners. No bios or anything, it just lists owners, coaches and stadium capacity.

. . . and this page gives some more historical and biographical information. I don't have a cite to the front door, just keep incrementing the team number in the url (as long as you are not applying to Harvard Business School).

NFL team valuations from Forbes (slightly easier to navigate than caddis' 2nd link; click the team to get detailed info on ownership, etc)

(Forbes does the same thing for the NBA, as well as pro baseball, hockey and soccer.)

I would regard these lists with some skepticism. The NBA lists, at least, appears to be out of date. For instance:
  • They don't include Charlotte Bobcats owner Robert Johnson (the Bobcats are an expansion team in their first year).
  • The Gunds just sold the Cleveland Cavaliers to Dan Gilbert and a group of minority owners.
  • The Wizards are managed, not owned, by Susan O'Malley. The owner is Abe Pollin.
And I don't know much about most team owners -- those are just the ones that I spotted at a glance. Unfortunately, I can't seem to turn up a better list. But if you need to have your data right, you should vet the names individually.

Even more unfortunately, it is true that Donald Sterling owns the L.A. Clippers, and Dan Snyder owns Washington Redskins (however, Spurrier resigned as head coach just over a year ago).
