I am looking for a photo slide scanning service in Toronto (preferably North York or close). I just have a couple of slides. In addition to recommendations, what price range should I expect?

Flatbed scanners that are capable of scanning slides are fairly common. I bought one at Best Buy a few years back. All-in-one units may not do it, but I bet most scanners sold as "photo" scanners have the capability, attachment, and SW. You could easily know someone who has one. I think mine even claims to do negatives as well.

I've had good experience scanning photos (not slides) with photoscanning.ca Their website is a bit out of date but the company is active, at least with respect to their twitter feed, so they are worth contacting to ask if their slide-scanning service is active yet.
