High Quality California Flag

Where can I buy a high quality California state flag?

A close friend, a lifelong Californian, is leaving to take an executive job in New York. I want to buy him a high quality California state flag (maybe even framed?) to hang in his office. However, all I can find is cheap and low quality flags.

Where (preferably online) could I get such a flag?

Thanks in advance.

I've been happy with 1-800flags.com, and in fact, have a California state flag from them that I no longer need. I could send it your way if you like, just send me a MeMail.

YMMV as to what is considered cheap/low-quality, but I think they're well made.

Oddly enough, Cincinnati has two?!?! stores that sell flags exclusively. I've been in Flaggs, USA and they literally have flags from all the states and nations of the world. Imagine an old converted storefront just filled with flags. While they don't have an online store I am sure you could call them and talk to them about assorted ways a flag could be framed or mounted.

I know the grandchildren of the Lawsons of Lawson Flag Supply. They have a fierce (from what I understand) with The Flag Lady, who's about a block north of them. I understand the flags are good quality; this drama all takes place in the picky part of Columbus, Ohio.

Insert the word "rivalry" where it belongs in my previous comment, and an entire sentence will make more sense.

Did you know you can purchase California or US flags that have been flown over the California State Capitol building? Just fill out this form and send it and a check to the Senate Publications and Flags Office. The prices run from about $30 to $60 depending on size and it also includes a nice certificate of authenticity.

(BTW, you can also get US flags that have flown over the US Capitol building by contacting your senator or state rep.)
