Buying patchouli seeds

Where can I buy patchouli seeds right now? I'd like to plant them within the next couple of weeks, and the only online retailer I have found so far that offers them (a nursery in Indiana) had to toss out their batch and won't receive any more for at least a month.

I think that would be the nursery in Indiana that had to toss out their batch...

Response by poster: Kindall's right, Specklet. I was reluctant to mention them by name since I didn't want to call them out for being out of stock. But still, there can't be only one nursery in the whole world that has patchouli seeds, so I asked MeFi.

I've Googled for weeks and that was the only nursery I have found that fit the bill. I was hoping that someone could mention their friendly neighborhood patchouli seed salesman, or something like that.

Seeds of Change doesn't list patchouli on their site. However, it may be worth a shot to contact them and see if they can recommend a company to you.

2 vendors here
and some hints for growing as well

Try searching under it's Scientific Name - Pogostemon cablin. It yields many more results.

I'm pretty sure lnicole already knew that -- she's not kidding about having been Googling for weeks. (She has bugged me about it but I couldn't help.) What she's looking for is someone who actually knows where to buy patchouli seeds, as in, has recently bought some somewhere. Where have all the hippies gone?

Response by poster: horsemuth: yeah, I had done some searching under the scientific name too, and at least with that I found a few more resources that sold plants, but not seeds. I was familiar with the Dave's Garden info, and that's where I first found the link to Rich Farm Garden; it's interesting that there are two different listings there now. But I tried calling both of those today and no one answered either one, and one only listed plants -- and not seeds -- on their website. Thanks for the help, though. Meanwhile, I'm still searching. :(
