What indie synthpop should I add to this mix CD?

What should I add to a mix CD that has Chromeo, Phoenix, Cut Copy, Hot Chip, Junior Boys and The Rapture on it?

Looking for bands that have a similar upbeat, synthy-ish sound -- preferrably current (past 3 years) but older is OK.

I do not like Daft Punk or LCD Soundsystem (too repetitive). Other than that, recommend away!

Fatboy Slim! He's actually got a pretty good variety of tracks if you get into his albums.

Justice would fit very well.

Chemical Brothers perhaps, Bonobo perhaps, DJ Food.

Reach pick: The Epoxies. Synthy, New Wavey, Punky goodness. Might not be exactly what you're looking for though.

Colder, or perhaps last year's Matmos.

Danger might be a sound you dig.

The Ting Tings can be enjoyable, but might be too poppy for you. There is a great music collective called Valerie that has some really great tracks, they have a compilation CD called Valerie and Friends that's pretty excellent

Here's a track from one of the members of the collective (not on the CD) that's pretty good

A song from the CD

Rex the Dog's cd The Rex the Dog Show runs the gamut of sounds, but it's pretty kicking if its your taste.

If you like danger I feel this one stands out. It's all pretty solid though.

I really really like Valerie and Rex the Dog.

Maybe I have horrible taste though. I'm currently wearing a hoodie I made as a tribute to cut copy though!

Ah names. Well they're in the youtubes but

Danger: Revolte at 22h10, 9h20, 11h30, he has some newer stuff I need to track down

Valerie and Freinds: College feat Electric Youth She Never Came Back (Russ Chimes Remix)

Rex the Dog: Tony the Beat, Circulate, Maximize, Frequency

I will second the above recommendation for Justice as well. Cross is a phenomenal CD, worth a listen.

Honestly I'm looking for more house myself these days. It's not easy to find.

Sounds like an awesome mix so far, that's pretty much a list of some of my favorite bands of the past couple years.

Some suggestions:

Breakbots - Baby I'm Yours

Jamaica - Short and Entertaining

Discovery - Osaka Loop Line & Orange Shirt

Klaxons - Golden Skans

Miami Horror - Make You Mine & Don't Be On With Her

Two Door Cinema Club - Hands Off My Cash, Monty & Something Good Can Work

Miike Snow - Billie Holiday

activitystory's recommendation of Black Moth Super Rainbow made me think of the band The Octopus Project, which I will totally and readily admit to being a shill for after I saw their awesome show during SXSW. They are really, really good. They're sort of on the rock and experimental side of the spectrum.

I Saw the Bright Shinies is a slightly toned down song of theirs, and Truck is a really frenetic and happy song of theirs.

Other than that, CSS, Justice, Passion Pit, etc., as have been recommended, are really good.

Two Door Cinema Club - I can talk

This is totally my favorite type of music! I love female singers, though, so YMMV.

Royksopp - Happy up Here or The Girl and the Robot
Goldfrapp - Rocket or Alive (off the new record)
Robyn - With Every Heartbeat
Yelle - Je Veux Te Voir (in French)
Ladyhawk - My Delirium
Empire of the Sun - Walking on a Dream
Yeasayer - Ambling Alp
Little Boots - Stuck on Repeat
Miike Snow - Animal

I'd love to see the track listing when you're done! (My boyfriend just yelled in here "having a dance party in the office?")

The Knife - Marble House (rex the dog remix)
Simian Mobile Disco - I Believe (also: tits & acid)
Trentemoeller - vamp (also: moan)
dudun dun (MSTRKRFT remix) - para one
Trash - The Whip

- this is all based on the streaming mix that's running right now as I'm reading this that just happens to be full of the very artists you cited in the OP.

Granted it's also lousy with stuff I am positive you'd hate, like Postal Service and Mr. Oizo and LCD Soundsystem and some moldy old 90's bigbeats techno like Fatboy Slim and Crystal Method but that's just because I'm an old broad and thus my techno tastes run to house as much as they do twee young indie bands

Response by poster: You guys had some great suggestions. I only needed a few more songs to finish the mix (and I was partial to the bands I listed in the question), but here's what I came up with:

Chromeo - Tenderoni
Phoenix - Lisztomania
Cut Copy - Far Away
The Whitest Boy Alive - Golden Cage (Fred Falke Remix)
Bat for Lashes - Daniel
Phoenix - 1901
Does It Offend You, Yeah? - Dawn of the Dead
Chromeo - Fancy Footwork
The Rapture - Get Myself Into It
Ladyhawke - My Delirium
Phoenix - Girlfriend
Hot Chip - Over and Over
The Presets - Girl and the Sea
Chromeo - Bonafied Lovin' (Tough Guys)
Ladyhawke - Back of the Van
Two Door Cinema Club - What You Know
MSTRKRFT - Heartbreaker
