Cloud nine urine

Can mere arousal make my urine cloudy?

From time to time in my life, I have been close to girls that I really liked a lot, and though I'm not "turned on" in terms of an erection, there is definitely some sort of deeper sexual arousal happening. I am a virgin and plan to remain so until married.

I have noticed that at these times, e.g. after spending a long night alone with the object of my affection, my urine is thicker and cloudy or milky. Nothing is painful or wrong, in fact I have come to the point where I just take it as a sign that I am in love.

What is the medical explanation for this phenomenon?

Retrograde Ejaculation

Assuming you're a straight male and not a gay female, it's pre-ejaculate (pre-cum) mixing with your urine after you have a particularly "intense" erection.

Simple explanation: Retrograde Ejaculation.

Unsolicited tidbit: Don't confuse sexual arousal with being in love.

Okay, I feel dumb. I've never heard of Retrograde Ejaculation.

2nding labwench's unsolicited tidbit.

Retrograde ejaculation would still require an orgasm, and the flow of fluids out the urethra being impeded, which you'd have likely noticed. It's pre-ejaculate.

An alternate possibility is that spending a long night alone with the object of your affection is correlated either with you just not drinking enough water, or you drinking a lot of tea / hot tea / coffee, which can irritate your urinary tract.

If you're not having an erection, I would question how aroused you are. If you consistently experience what you think is deep arousal without an erection, that might be worth consulting a physician about.
