Fugal writing in popular music?

Do any popular musicians (as opposed to art music composers) use fugal writing in their music? I'm looking for hardcore, Well-Tempered Clavier complexity, not simple 2-voice counterpoint.

Well, generally popular music that sounds fugal is usually just contrapuntal. The fugue is very strict in form and I would be extremely surprised if there was much actual fugal writing in pop music.

You might like Uri Caine, but it isn't pop really.
