A song where the main refrain is "That's my girl (hey!)"

A lo-fi song with the main lyric "That's My Girl (Hey!)"?

Heard this song twice at a comedy club, but google and youtube have failed me for what I think is the first time on a song-related query.

The song has a '60s garage-rock sound, although it could be a '70s track or a modern song trying to ape the lo-fi sound of that era.

The main refrain is "That's my girl (hey!)" The hey is very echoey and sung by a backing chorus. I couldn't make out any other lyrics.

No, the song is not "My Girl" by the temptations, or "That's my Girl" by Charlie and the Nightcats, or "That's my Girl" by the Monks.

Anyone?

It's probably not, but it sounds like it could be Jet - Are You gonna be My girl? Or possibley "that's my girl" by The Kaisers?

Response by poster: Neither one of those, Charles. The song was more poppy than rocky.

This COULDN'T be Beck's "Girl," could it?? I say so largely because of the echoey chorus.

"Girlfriend" by Omarion and Bow Wow, maybe?

Oops. You said "comedy club". I was thinking dance club.

Response by poster: It's none of the ones mentioned so far.

It's not Say Hey by Michael Franti, is it? It's got a backing chorus but the lyrics are different.

"She's My Girl," by the Turtles.

Response by poster: No, not the Turtles one. Forgot to mention in the original post that that's one of the ones I checked out first. Good song though.

At this point I'm ready to go back to the comedy club and ask the tech what the hell the song is, since it appears to have no presence on the internet.

How about That's my Girl by The Vandals?

This might be something you would hear at a comedy club.

No, it wasn't a comedy song. It was more of a garage-rock, hipstery song.

I'll post back here if I ever discover what it was.
