Name that campaign! Need help finding an inspiring name for an internal/staff campaign that encompasses innovation + social media use...

So, I am responsible for running this campaign for work and I am struggling to think up an inspiring (and short) name for it. At the moment I am just calling it "Using social media effectively" but its boring, long and not particularly inspiring. The whole idea is that we want staff to think of innovative and effective ways to use social media (facebook, twitter, flickr, etc etc) to solve problems, communicate ideas and create opportunities for discussion and interaction between staff and perhaps even our external clients. So far I have come up with... nothing and my team, friends and family haven't been a whole heap of help either so I come to the mefites for ideas. I would love to hear your ideas! It can incorporate the name of media, rhyme, anything!

If I have to use "Using social media effectively" it won't be the end of the world but I would like to at least try something a bit fun first! Thanks for helping.

I am thinking something with "Connect" in the title, like Project Connect. Or do what we sometimes do and come up with an acronym, then decide what it's going to stand for - CONNECT: Communicating ONline N__ External Clients T__ ...?

Best answer: Social Motion

Hit post too soon.
Social Motion: movement connotating the movement and transport of ideas. A motion is also a gesture that's understood and familiar, making communication easier. I like the way they intertwine.

Would something that plays off of "socialized medicine" be appropriate?

Socialized Innovation
Socialized Communication
Socialized Interaction
etc.

Best answer: Using social media effectively sounds pretty inspiring to me, actually. You don't want to go all twee with something like this and turn people off.

Plus, like lots of effective marketing, it has two lobes:

1) 'using social media' will be interesting to folks that have heard of this and don't know how to use it

2) 'effectively' will be interesting to social media veterans who are sick of the hype, and who will come to your sessions with useful opinion.

So skip the buzzword and just have a clear session about using social media effectively. let the clarity there be the tone for the session. Hey, isn't that what social media's about - using the power of communities to optimise communication and make it accessible to everyone?

It sounds you've been thinking along generic lines, and that you may not have explored names that tie into the particulars of your organization (i.e. industry, mission, other current initiatives and lingo, etc.) Incorporating specifics into the name might not only open up your thinking, but also result in something more inspiring/compelling. Perhaps you can share some of these specifics?

Best answer: While your project might end up with some formal name like

SOMEIN = social media innovation
CUBARC = Congress of useful bridging activities, round the company
WHINSEC = Worldwide hub for innovation, social expression and communication

You should definately have a code name, after the code name adds that much more mystery. Examples:

1) "Sweet Caroline." since social media is really all about "reaching out, touching you, touching me"

2) "Say you, Say Me" we can't innovate unless we "say it together, naturally"

Response by poster: Thanks everyone, all your answers really helped! I've decided to use something along the line of:

Social Motion
How to use social media effectively

And I will definitely have a code name! "Sweet Caroline" is genuis!
