Can't find White Wedding Cover Info

Used a program to fix my mp3 tags and file names, now I can't find the real musician behind a "White Wedding" cover I'm 90% sure I got on MeFi Music.

Singer is male, pace is slow, introspective, guitar, banjo tambourine. Since I'm not 100% I got it here, I don't want to post a link to it. Also, if it was removed for a reason, I don't want to re-upload it and anger the musician.

Debated putting this in talk, but since it may be from somewhere else, I thought I'd give this a go.

Any chance it's by The Harvey Girls? I have their cover of it in my iTunes. No idea why, to be honest.

Response by poster: Mystery solved. Went to the file to make an excerpt of it, found out it was an m4a file, which meant it was ripped from CD.

That kick-started my brain and I found the CD--it was from a MeFi Swap, Spring 2007. So I was only half-wrong.

The artist is Whip.

You can hear the song on his myspace.

Now if I could only remember who sent it to me... (Obligatory Cover Mix and More Fun, two CDs!)

I can address 2oh1's comment- you probably have it because almost all members of the Harvey Girls were mefites at the time of that recording, one of which was cortex. I don't remember how the recording turned out, but live it was ghostly and beautiful.

However, the vocals on it were female.
