Cherry soul music

I am seeking classic R&B, soul, reggae, or even blues songs that feature the word cherry

I have a radio show that plays old R&B and soul with a smattering of other stuff that I like. I want to do a show featuring songs that highlight the word cherry. I am willing to span a wide range of popular music as long as the song would go well with a mix of Sam & Dave and Otis Redding. That means, while Warrant is a fine band, Cherry Pie is right out. Got any suggestions?

While finding that I have six separate copies of Cherry Bomb by The Runaways, the only "classic" song I have is Love Me Baby (Chery July) by ? and the Mysterions. I take it Cherry Comes Too by the Jesus and Mary Chain wouldn't work? (You might also do a title search on AMG).

B.B King. - Cherry Red
Otis Redding - Nothing Can Change This Love
Blind Lemon Jefferson - Cherry Street Blues

I just typed "_____ lyrics cherry" into Google, trying a few different names.

These are both more folk than soul:
KT Tunstall - Black Horse and Cherry Tree and Jan Arden - Cherry Popsicle

There is a song called Cherry Blossom Girl by Air, which is soulful but not exactly Soul.

Lastly, I know of two artists with the last name Cherry, half brother and sister actually: Neneh Cherry and Eagle Eye Cherry. Neneh's 7 Seconds and Eagle Eye's Save Tonight would probably both work for you.

Contemporary, but Spoon's You Got Yr Cherry Bomb would probably sound pretty at home with classic soul stuff.

Aaug, I give up on the rest of the workday. The Kinks "Lola" with Cherry Cola, of course. Is this, by chance, a radio show on KTOO? I have fond memories of the 2 a.m. show I used to do with a friend of mine on that station.

Response by poster: Wow, otolith! No shit? Yes, I do Cherry Mash on Wednesday nights on KXLL which is one of the three public radio stations run under KTOO out of Juneau. I ran into one half of Deering & Down, a local favorite band, and he was singing me cherry songs. It was awesome and gave me this idea. I tried my best to remember all the songs he sang for me... but I was too drunk. Damnit, Alaskan Bar, you win again!

Ah, the Alaskan. So many hazy good times. Man, I miss Juneau sometimes.

I thought of one more song: Brendan Benson Cherries.
