Wired t-shirt w/man being hit by lightning

Seeking info about/pictures of old Wired Magazine t-shirt with stick figure getting hit by lightning inside a yellow triangle

The cover of the latest isse of Wired Magazine shows a warning symbol of a stick figure being hit by a lightning bolt. I remember that the very early issues of the magazine gave away or sold black t-shirts with this logo on them. Does anyone else remember this? Is it possible to buy these shirts? Are there any photos of them? (Yes, I've Googled around.)

Sounds like a bog-standard electrocution hazard sign (link, link, link etc).

A couple of seconds on Google found somebody selling this shirt - I'm sure you can find more / better with the same search terms (electrical hazard shirt). I'm sure you can also find a vector image somewhere and make your own shirt. Or did it have to be the shirts sold by Wired in particular?

I think this is the image poulet is talking about which is very similar to the pictures obiwanwasabi linked too.

Best answer: It was part of the Wired "Street Cred" merch line.
Best I could come up this early in the morning is this.

I don't remember that. However, I do remember t-shirts with a fist holding a lightning bolt that said "Cyber Rights Now" on them. I asked the manufacturer about them and he said he got permission from the EFF to make them. It was definitely during the early issues of Wired.

I can't help solve the AskMe, but I'd like to say that this question reminds me of my favorite xkcd comic which has been pegged to the whiteboard in my physics classroom (I teach) every since it came out.

Best answer: I have an awesome example of that in my closet.

It's an XL black hoodie that my ex wife ordered for me, from Wired, in the nineties.

On the tag it says 'Wiredware', maybe that will help...

Image-wise it's identical to the image posted by Herrdoktor above - 'Wired' on the sleeve and the electrocution hazard on the front.

I don't think I ever wore it, it's like new.

Response by poster: Sorry for the delayed response -- I just got back to this. Forgot to subscribe to my own thread, I guess.

Anyway, herrdoktor and markjamesmurphy hit the nail on the head re: the actual clothing. And delmoi pointed to the image that's on a recent issue of Wired.

I know someone who works at Wired, and they've told me they've tried but can't find/get any of these clothing items.
