Feedreader similar to NYT's Article Skimmer?

I've been reading the New York Times website using their Article Skimmer. I'm looking for a feed reader—web-based or OS X—that has a similar feel and functionality.

I find that I really like the way it presents the information and I love navigating it with the arrow keys. This may have a really obvious answer, but I haven't found something that fills the niche. Any ideas?

Times is a neat program that I got in the MacHeist bundle. I don't use it that often, but I like the interface, and the fact that you can mix your own feeds.

You can do this with NetVibes and its "magazine" format for feeds.

You will get something similar with Feedly. It takes your Google Reader feeds and shuffles them nicely into a magazine-like format.

Popurls might also be to your liking.
