West Hollywood brunch places that don't require reservations? For tomorrow?

An old roommate, who's in town to be celebrated at OutFest, wants to buy me brunch tomorrow. He wants to treat me. I have no idea where to go!

We want to have some time to talk, and since he's sorta insistent on spending money, I guess that means we can afford a quiet place. I never eat out, so I have no idea, here. Any suggestions? I need it to be a place that will take walk-ins between nine and noon, and be in or near West Hollywood. Otherwise I'll just take him to the Farmer's Market - fine for me, but I think he wants someplace less chaotic.

There's also The Abbey -- WeHo, 692 North Robertson Blvd.

For ol' time brunch, consider The French Quarter, WeHo, 7985 Santa Monica Blvd.

I like Dusty's Bistro on Sunset.

Response by poster: The French Quarter would have been my choice - I've gone there for years; it's our down-the-street-café - but the last time we went the food was awful.

Would Dusty's or the Abbey take us tomorrow around eleven?

Response by poster: We're going to the Abbey. Thanks, friends!
