Song with Electroencephalograph in the title

I'm trying to trace a song with the word "Electroencephalograph" or "Electroencephalogram" in the lyrics
I think I heard it in the 70's (or early 80's?)
If my memory serves me right, part of the lyrics were:
"Electroencephalograph*, beep-beep...Electroencephalograph*, beep-beep"
* could be "Electroencephalogram"
I've just tried searching around and found two songs on Amazon.
One by "Kilowatthours & The Rum Diary" (Title "The Electroencephalograph") the other by "Adriano Canzian" (Called "Electroencephalogram") - but as far as I can tell these aren't the ones.

Response by poster: Ha! No, nice try, though! :)
The more I think of it, the more I think they sing "Beep-Beep"

Note: that's a recent recording of a live show, so it might not sound exactly like the original, but it should be pretty similar. 'Elektro-Kardiogramm' part starts around 1:00.

Response by poster: Really, thanks for trying, though - much appreciated.
If my memory serves me right, it was rather reminiscent of "Video Killed the Radio Star" - I mean, it may have been the same "sort" of tune - i.e., quite "pop"-y

Damn, yes, I know this song, I can hear the line but can't get any further than "Electroencephalograph, Electroencephalograph" (or possibly -gram) then something like "burning in my brain". Maybe that snippet of the next line helps.

Man, this really rings a bell with me too. I'm pretty sure it's "gram" and I have the vague notion that it's a new-wavey type song and that the singer is British.

Response by poster: [essexjan] & [davebush] - You may be both onto something there - I've a feeling they sang something like "Brain-Drain" as a chorus
Please *PLEASE* keep wracking your (well-connected) brains!

Best answer: Radio Stars - Nervous Wreck. Love that tune!
