Help me figure out why my new Ipod Touch seems to be playing podcasts at faster than normal speed and to fix the problem.

When I play back podcasts on my new 32G Ipod Touch it sounds like the speeded up portion at the end of car ads. Music seems to be okay but it's hard to tell. I played a piano sonata and it didn't sound speeded up. I would search the Apple/Ipod knowledge base for an answer but I don't know what to call it. I've looked in preferences but nothing seems to address my issue.
Any ideas?

Hm...no ideas, but that has definitely happened to me before. It's annoying to be sure! I've also found that sometimes the Touch will get stuck bouncing between two podcasts, rapidly flipping back and forth and the display switching as well, and the only way to remedy that has been to stomp the power button until the stupid thing reboots.

Best answer: Do you perhaps have the 2X speed selected? Look at your display when you're playing a podcast, and then look at the "time bar" (for lack of a better term) across the top. (Note: if the time bar doesn't display, click in the middle of the screen to make it appear) On the bottom right of that little time bar section you'll see a rectangular box with "#x" in it. Touching it will allow you to change the values between 1/2X, 1X, and 2X, thereby changing the speeds. Seem like thism ight be the case?
