Where is that song from?

What is the best way to find out if a song has been used in a soundtrack for TV/film?

Is there a database like imdb where you can enter the name of a song and see if it's listed as being used in a TV show or movie?

Inspired by After All by Dar Williams, which I have such an eerie feeling I've heard as part of a movie somewhere but I have no idea when or where...?

Best answer: There is a section on IMDB that might help.

Best answer: Also, if you check the artist page, it has a section for soundtrack.

Best answer: Or you can use a site search via google. Type in site:imdb.com "dar williams" "after all"

Current results: none found.

There are a couple of sites that list music heard on TV by show, but nothing specifically for listing all music from movies.

You could also check out All Music which lists all the albums a song has been on. Sometimes though the list can be quite long.

Response by poster: Thank you guys.

The IMDB search functionality seems really clunky to me? but still looks like the best option.

Appreciate your help!
