Help me DJ a bar in Toronto!

I'd like to pitch a DJ night for a bar/pub in Toronto wherein I'd play retro (i.e. '50s-'80s) Canadian music of the sort featured on my websites -- country, r&b, reggae, rock, jazz, pop, you name it...although I could tighten things up, genre-wise, depending on the bar's preferences if need be. Anyway, could anyone suggest any bars that might be suitable for this sort of thing on a weeknight? (note: I've already approached Sweaty Betty's and The Cock and Tail).

The Cadillac Lounge will be hosting the astoundingly awesome Neil Young tribute band "The Neil Young'uns" on Wednesdays in June so maybe they'd be interested in extending the "made in Canada" theme?

Best answer: What! How did I miss this? Doug and the Slugs!.

I would put together a press kit that emphasized your online audience. I worked in radio it helps to assume a bit of a persona - and you can ape others to get started. One of my co-workers thought he was imitating Jack Black from High Fidelity (IN a Minute!) who really sounded like Mel Brooks. Which is good stuff. Don't be shy- go back to sweaty betty and the cock & tail.

Ciros at Bloor and Lansdowne? Also Duffy's just renovated. It's down the road.
