Anyone know where to buy Galvanized tubs in the SF Bay Area?

Where can one walk into a store and buy these things? I've got a friend having an outdoor wedding in the very near (as in too near to have anything shipped) future. He is looking for some big galvanized tubs to fill with ice and drinks and needs to be able to go pick them up in the SF bay area, preferably the east bay or San Francisco. Anyone able to save the day?

I'm not in SF, but Home Depot usually has them next to the metal trash cans.

I got mine at Ikea. Give them a call and ask if they still carry them.

Ikea carries these that I can find on their website, and I know I have an oval-shaped one at home.

Since you're in an urban area, I'm not sure if you have a farm/feed store. But anyplace that sells livestock supplies, tractors, etc will have the big galvanized tubs you're looking for. Maybe someplace like Lowe's or Home Depot might have them, but I kind of doubt it.

Failing everything else, most florists use these and may be able to sell/rent/order quickly from their suppliers.

Most hardware stores are selling big heavy-duty plastic tubs for the same functions. IMO, they are better and come in nicer colors and for only about $6.

I've gotten a pair at Target, as well.

I saw these, but painted, at Walnut Creek Target last week. They're quite cute - I damn near bought one in teal.

I'm also 99% sure I've seen them at Cost Plus, also in Walnut Creek. The sales people are very friendly, ask them if you stop in and I'm sure they'd be able to point you in the right direction.

Failing that, I haven't seen those at these places but they have the same "throw some beers in a bucket" shabby chic sensibility, so they may carry the tubs:

Best answer: Feed and grain stores have all different shapes and sizes of these things and they are inexpensive! I'm not familiar with your area, but you should be able to find a feed store somewhere not too far away.

Also look to see if there's a restaurant supply store in the area (Google turns up several in the bay area, for example this).

I've just figured out that a lot of them are open to the public, and they carry everything. Well, OK, almost. But they'd probably have those tubs, and they'll definitely have whatever else your friend needs: plastic-backed paper table cloths, serving utensils, disposable plates and cutlery (the one near me even sells all the compostable stuff), etc.

P.S. Yes, they do sell them.

Though be sure to get the adult-beverage-sized ones, not the condiment-sized ones!

Building on snsranch's suggestion: there's a feed and grain store in Alamo. (Giant horse model on the roof - easy to spot.)

Best answer: I needed a big galzanized tub (3' x 5' I think). I got it at Rivertown Feed in Petaluma. They have all shapes and sizes.

Ace Hardware carries them, at least here in the hinterlands of the East Bay.

Best prices are going to be feed and grain / farm supply stores. That was their original use; to feed and water livestock.

I'm guessing Orchard Supply would have them as well.
