File Browser with tags

So I have this growing movie collection. What I want is a file browser that lets me tag each movie (either my own tags, or metadata from the files). Basically something like labels in Gmail or tags in Flickr/Delicious etc. Ubuntu here. I've heard of Gnome Meta-Tracker, is there anything else that will help organize my collection?
It's not a file browser, but I use Griffith to manage my collection. It has a tagging feature, and I believe you can install it from the Add/Remove programs tool in Ubuntu.

Google's Picasa photo organizer is probably worth a try; it handles movies too.

You can make Picasa installable and updatable via apt and Synaptic.

MediaMan will do what you want (if I understand your request correctly). It can save a lot of data input time by pulling info from Amazon.com, including cover images. I've been using it successfully to catalog my vinyl records, tape cassettes, VHS movies, CDs, and DVDs. You can export the data in a variety of formats including CSV. It's free for 30 days and then you have to pay for it ($40.00 US).
It has a lot more functionality than I've described; I'd recommend at least checking out the website. I believe I learned about it from Lifehacker.

MediaMan appears to be a Windows app.

GCStar is what I would try if I was going to do this. It has both tags and metadata.
The author of this blog post couldn't figure out how to get tags working in griffith. Plus, the features page doesn't list tags. (But it does list auto generated meta-data, which seems cool.)
