Last minute paris hotel recommendation

So, we've been staying at the quite delightful jays paris and have decided to spend a couple more days in the city, but unfortunately no more availabilty here!

We're going to be visiting the main museums (louvre, orsay, beaux arts etc) and versailles over the next few days and would like something in walking distance of this area (ex versailles of course!).

Other requirements are clean crisp white sheets, quiet, comfy beds and the nicer the bathroom the better.

Any ideas?

Sully Ste Germain on Rue des Ecoles in the Latin Quarter, - a few blocks from the Seine, a longish but beautiful walk to the Louvre & Orsay. Lovely to open the windows in the evening and hear the bells of Notre Dame. Near the Maubert/Mutualite Metro stop.

This isn't within quick walking distance of the museums you list, but last time I was in Paris we stayed at the Hotel Muguet, right by les Invalides; it's in walking distance to the Musee Rodin, though, and from there it's a quick hop over to the Musee d'Orsay should you choose to walk it. The hotel's right by the Ecole Militaire Metro stop, and there's lots of restaurants/bars and whatnot in the area. Here's a Google Map of where it is.

The hotel's awesome - small, clean, comfy, quiet, and there's a coffee bar in the lobby. And if you pay extra you can get a room that has a killer Eiffel Tower view, if that's important to you.

A long walk from the Louvre/Orsay, but I loved Hotel Castex.

We stayed at the charming Hotel Clement in Saint-Germain-des-Prés which is well within walking distance of the museums. This was 14 years ago, but it left an impression. Staff was wonderful and the rooms were excellent.

I will say that the elevator at the Muguet is not the pram-friendliest; the elevator holds two people and a couple suitcases, and not much else. But don't let that dissuade you; there are wide staircases so if you get a room on the second floor a pram wouldn't be too unwieldy I wouldn't think.

Hotel Jardin de Cluny. Stayed there in 2008 - very close to downtown, very reasonably priced for that part of the city. And a very nice marble-y bathroom.

I've also heard very good things about the other Best Western hotel in the 6th Arr.

Response by poster: Thanks for your replies! In the end we got an extra night at jays and one at the westin paris, just next to place vendome. Its the only 4* on hotwire in the louvre area and we got it for $260/night. Unfortunately its near the designer stores so may end up being much more!
